Castro dies. Astrology of someone who survived 638 Assassination attempts

Fidel Castro died Nov. 25, 2016 at age 90. I know many people saw the irony that it was Black Friday the most consumerist, capitalist sales day in the U.S.  Thousands of Cuban ex-pats are celebrating in Florida. 

My family and I visited Cuba about 6 years ago. Canada has always had open relations with Cuba and it was mainly Canadian, European and South American tourists who have vacationed there since they opened to tourism and 49% foreign investments as a way to survive after the fall of Russia in the early 1990’s.  We are very aware of the communist suppression going on and the poverty yet compared to the illiteracy, total poverty, and the difficult feudal impoverished lives Cubans had pre-Revolution they seemed to be doing quite well. We found the Cubans to be quite amazing people, very proud with great spirits. The problem is with free education and health care they have no room to expand. Doctors made less money than those who worked in Hotels. There were police or security guards watching out for everything all the time.  Now there are cell phone and I don’t know what it is like since Americans have been allowed in freely. It felt like it was the safest place I had ever been.  We loved it. 

I was wondering what the astrology chart of a man who had single-handedly fought against America, and at such a close range, and then survived the collapse of Russia and had outlived 638 assassination attempts looked like. So here it is. 

The great Communist leader and dictator would of course have to be a LEO, with JUPITER Retrograde in AQUARIUS expanding the higher ideals of the planet of revolution, freedom, and staunch-no backing down, opposite to his naturally the leader Sun. Mercury Retrograde in Leo too. Someone who brings REvolution and redistributes policies. NEPTUNE was also in LEO conjunct to VESTA and his SUN. CASTRO was an idealist, a dreamer, of redistributing the wealth.

Castro was the son of a wealthy landowner, and studied law before creating  a band of fellow revolutionaries to overthrow Batista, Cuba’s dictator who had extensive links to the American mafia and other business interests.

This is an accurate birth time and his Moon was in LIBRA the sign or rebalancing and justice. With Venus in Cancer and Mars in Taurus conjunct to Chiron, Castro really loved his Motherland. He felt her pain and the people’s suffering deeply. He was motivated by altruistic ideals. 

CASTRO’s GEMINI ASCENDANT at the last degree conjunct the POLE STAR

This gives anyone with this aspect incredible charisma, the natural leader, the hub of all. CAstro was an incredible speaker, a salesman who could charm and convince anyone. His speeches are legendary. He has the record for the longest modern speech ever, 7+ hours. He also had this dual nature. Some saw him as a proud papa leadership others his totalitarian dictator side. 

Sun and JUPITER square SATURN in SCORPIO

Scorpio is secrets, crime, the Mafia, laundered money, power, absolute control, stealth, the ability to analyze in great depth, death and rebirth. Castro survived 638 assassination attempts on his life through poisoning, exploding cigars by the CIA numerous times, the mafia,and ex-lovers. “If surviving assassination attempts were an Olympic event, I would win the gold medal.”said Castro. A SUN in LEO Jupiter in AQUARIUS Saturn in SCORPIO T-square would certainly enable anyone to be so strong willed, so detached, so fearless, that they would be pretty much immortal and immune to anything that came at them. 

Also Castro had his NORTH NODE at 15 CANCER conjunct to SIRIUS the immortal and brightest star, conjunct to his NATAL PLUTO exact, squaring his MOON in LIBRA. This is such a KARMIC fated aspect. Very rarely do PLUTO and the NORTH NODE and SIRIUS connect. CASTRO definitely had the mark of being a significant world leader and life changer of millions of people. 

His VENUS in CANCER formed a GRAND WATER TRINE with SATURN in SCORPIO and URANUS in PISCES at 28+ degrees

Yes the grandfather of the Revolution for sure. ONe who wielded total power and control The iron fist in the kid glove.Even though millions of Cubans fled his totalitarian regime Castro brought social security, food, better life expectancy and infant mortality rates to his people. He really felt like he was the benefactor and Good father. URANUS in PISCES at the almost last degree of the Zodiac is very interesting. Indicating Castro was one of the last of his kind and almost completed his karmic incarnations in this lifetime. He was always a controversial figure. 

CASTRO’s death had been talked about for years. His health had been failing since 2008. At his death, it was a good death. Chiron in PISCES right on his MC, the place of worldly fame. The PLUTO- JUPITER- VENUS T-squares exactly on his North and South NODES.  Jupiter and the Moon right on his Natal Moon. He was going to a higher place and back to source which he came in from. An exalted death. Very regal. 

I am not condoning or putting him down. May he RIP. It will be interesting to see how his brother Raoul handles the country. With a recent opening with the U.S. the question is, with Trump vowing to shut down everything Obama did, will he close up the doors with Cuba? Or will Trump see this as a golden opportunity to put up some new hotels in Cuba?

May he RIP. History will tell. As he famously said himself “Condemn me it does not matter History will absolve me. “

But in Astrology Terms the U.S., like any individual has its birthday when the Sun reaches the same degree it was at in the natal birth chart. The U.S. birth chart is a hotly debated topic by astrologers, varying the times of day on July 4th or even saying it occurred on different days than the signing of the declaration of Independence.

America must find its soul, if its soul was ever aligned with true revolution and democracy and not this 2013 devolutionized version of consumer capitalism and misinformation and the prison camp of the free to choose the brand you are told to, pseudo democracy veering on a fascist state.

R.I.P. Ray Manzarek, the end, Astrology of rock legend by Tara Greene

I was sad to hear that co-founder, organist and bass player of the Doors Ray Manzarek passed on May 20.

I was a huge Doors fan and got to see them perform live when they first released Light my Fire in a small C.B.C. Toronto studio in 1967 with a maybe a hundred people or so in the audience. I also saw them play two more times and met them twice backstage. I have  a nice photo of Ray which I will scan and post.

Ray's signature organ music, he played bass and lead, certainly is the mainstay of the Doors sound. Jim was the writer and leader, but the two really coalesce the powerful Doors music sound. Of course John Densmore and Robby Kreiger also made the entire group what it was.

Ray Manzarek was an AQUARIAN born February 12 1939 Chicago Illinois 3:30 am.

Ray had the SUN in the 2nd house of resources conjunct his Mercury-planet of communications. He was an age of Aquarius kind of guy. An innovator, a genius, worked well in groups and a great organizer.

MOON in SAGITTARIUS at 6 degrees is conjunct Mars at 8 degrees in his 12th house. This is  a very spiritual placement.  Ray's was a fiery emotional and spiritually driven man. His drive {Mars} was to awaken and inspire people. His Music was honest, inspiring, philosophical, all-encompassing.

SAGITTARIUS ASCENDANT 24 degrees

Close to the Galactic Center. This placement makes people visionaries because they are really tuned into a HIGHER REALITY and vibration. They are metaphysicians of one sort or another. Touring, travelling and seeing new places was something  Ray must have loved. I am certian he was very well read.

 VENUS his artistic talents was at 6 degrees CAPRICORN in the 1st  house of self.

He loved to work, he was ambitious for success and a practical disciplined hard worker.  Serious reliable and responsible. He was probably the rock of the doors. Jim was the flagrant leader and wild man poster boy poet. Ray always wore suits in true Capricorn style. He was also a serious film student, meeting  Jim Morrison at UCLA film school.

Ray had JUPITER at 9 degrees Pisces also in the 2nd house of resources. Jupiter is the traditional ruler of  PISCES and SAGITTARIUS. Pisces is the sign of all artists, musicians, creatives. His musical resource was SPIRIT itself. May have been some addictions issues there as well. Playing the organ, an instrument usually reserved for churches also shows the religious nature of his art.

SATURN at 14 degrees ARIESs at the bottom of his chart on the IC.

Ray ws serious about doing his own thing.  His dad must have had a strong influence on him. He had great energy and initiative and a unique communications style. He was meant to be an entrepreneur and the King of his own domain.

PLUTO at the 29th Critical degree of CANCER he was born at the end of the Cancer Pluto generation. He was emotionally intense and loyal, Protective of his friends and family and his privacy.

NEPTUNE in the 9th house is in VIRGO at 22 degrees Retro.

Neptune is the highest elevated planet and shows him as a creative/musical teacher, film maker, philosopher, globe-trotter, eclectic in his approach. A  mystical man,a dreamer, a romantic, a work aholic, a perfectionist who honed his craft to the Nth degree.

URANUS is at 14 degrees TAURUS in his 5th house of creativity

Uranus rules his Aquarius SUN & Mercury. The signature of an original pioneering person, who walked their own path. The 5th house is the house of creative self-expression as a gift of Love.

Ray's NORTH NODE was at 12 degrees of SCORPIO in the 10th house.

A SCORPIO north Node says that Ray's highest goal was to be an agent of deep emotional change, rebirth, transformation. Death, the shadow, the deep dark secrets, taboo's, was part of his worldly fame. His music was the accompaniment for Jim Morrison's deep dark sexy poetry/songs. Ray's playing was an integral part of the musical depths to which the Door's took its listener's. It was dark, taboo, THE END. 

AT his DEATH

Ray died of bile cancer in Germany. He was private about his struggle with Cancer. He left his wife of 45 years, a son and three grandchildren. The recent SOLAR ECLIPSE of May 9 was at 19 degrees TAURUS and fell in a square- hard aspect between his Mercury and SUN. Solar eclipses change the nature of a person's Identity. The Uranus- Pluto square also fell 2 degrees from his SATURN close to his IC. Endings, roots.  NEPTUNE at 5 degrees PISCES was squaring his MOON in the 12th house. A beautiful return call home to spirit.

Generations are getting sicker younger. Species are dying.

I chose the Fairy Tale Tarot as it resonated with me as Thumbelina symbolizing all of us as humans on this 43rd Earth Day

Tiny, caught by the Mole= the dark, Scorpio, secret power, control hungry Corporations Plutocrats of the world.

Thumbelina manages to escape and because she is a kind-hearted soul, nature helps her, 

in the illustrations swans come and build her a basket to fly her to safety. 

Each person may be small, but when we initiate radical hopes, ideas, freedom from tyranny
